Archie Shepp (1977 - 1977)

Archie Shepp is a series of performances by legendary Jazz artist Archie Shepp, a skilled performer of the Jazz saxaphone. The series features a group of performances from Shepp and his Quartet of musicians who travel with him. The series looks at the unique sound of his play style as well as his ability to meld with other players to create something new every time he picks up his instrument. The series follows his performances in the late 70s through the 80s as he shows that despite his prominence in the 60s he still has the skill and the talent in these later decades.
