- Synopsis:
- A successful international conductor (Michael Nyqvist) suddenly interrupts his career and returns alone to his childhood village in Norrland, in the far north of Sweden. It doesn't take long before he is asked to come and listen to the fragment of a church choir, which practises every Thursday in the parish hall. Just come along and give a little bit of good advice. He can't say no, and from that moment, nothing in the village is the same again. The choir develops and grows. He makes both friends and enemies. And he finds love.

Stunningly Beautiful - As It Is in Heaven review by GM
This is the first review I have ever submitted as a long-standing member of CP which hopefully will immediately tell you what I think of this film. It is fabulous in every aspect. And to witness Gabrielle's song is the sweetest icing on a delectable cake. Highly Recommended.

Fabulous feelgood film - As It Is in Heaven review by CP Customer
We watched this with no prior knowledge of what it was except that Michael Nyqvist of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fame was leading. It was a clever story line that tackled difficult social issues and ultimately love, life and death in a light hearted way. Nyqvist was amazing! Set in snowy Scandinavia it was a great script, location, cast and idea for a film. Would definitely recommend. Might get it out again ??
