Synopsis:
Tom Jones directs this documentary about the past, present and future of Asbury Park, New Jersey. During the 1960's, Asbury Park was put on the map for live music as rock and roll and rhythm and blues swept the nation. In 1970 however, riots took over the town and Asbury Park became known for all the wrong reasons. With the opening of music venue The Stone Pony in 1973 came an influx of American musicians, all eager to play the venue and earn back Asbury Park's prestige for music. Featuring archive footage of gigs by Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt, the documentary looks at how the people of the New Jersey town rebuilt their homes and looked to the future.
