Synopsis:
Villa got off to a flying start in the 2013/14 Premier League season, beating Arsenal 3-1 away from home. Goals from Luna, and two from Benteke, secured the points to give fans a memorable victory to get the campaign underway. Other stand out moments in the season include the 4-3 triumph over West Midlands rivals West Brom and a terrific win over Manchester City, in which Villa dominated against the Premier League champions, thanks to goals from El Ahmadi, Bacuna and Weimann. Despite some tough results as the season progressed, Villa never gave up, and finished the season safe in the knowledge that the team would be playing in the top flight of English football for the 27th consecutive year.
