Atlantic Heart (2016)

On a tropical African Island with a rich colonial past, teenage siblings Lucas and Telma struggle to hold on to their dreams and their innocence. Lucas sets out on a life-changing journey, searching the backstreets, bars and bordellos to find his lost puppy before the authorities capture and destroy the animal in their pre-Carnival clear up. On his travels he learns his beautiful sister's new boyfriend is not all he seems and that his father, a notorious fisherman, knows more than he should about the dog's disappearance...
