- Synopsis:
- High in the mountains dies leaving a widow and her two children completely orphaned. Fearing that they will be separated from each other allows them their mother's death remain a secret, and shut themselves off completely from the outside world. The 16 year old girl taking care of her 10 year old brother who has become mute after the traumatic event, when he had seen his own father die. The sister may quickly make the transition from girl to woman as her innocence is destroyed when the mayor's son one day attacks and rapes her. A social worker arrives to the village to investigate the incident, but it is ultimately up to the siblings to stand up for each other and survival.
