Ayrton Senna was an inspirational racing driver and triple Formula One world champion. A passionate athlete who was revered and feared by his contemporaries, Senna's life and career (although cut short) is one that is etched into the history books. He was born into a wealthy Brazilian family. He competed in 161 Grand Prix over 10 years and he took 64 Pole Positions, winning a massive 41 times. He has been described as charismatic, single-minded and totally focused, as well as lauded by his peers as being an extraordinary driver and an extraordinary person. Ayrton Senna was the idol for millions of Formula One fans, one of them being F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
