They'll battle jaguars, venomous snakes and each other in their quest to find gold. A group of unemployed Alabama construction workers are about to take one last shot at the American dream. After laying off all of his employees in the recession, contractor Tim Evans will re-hire a group of his trusted brothers and lead them deep into the most dangerous corner of the Amazon jungle in a search for gold. The quest for riches in this area goes back centuries to the legend of El Dorado, but there has never been a mission like this. Using American know-how and Southern ingenuity, the crew will move hundreds of tons of machinery across miles of treacherous, impenetrable jungle terrain in an expedition that may change their lives forever. In the tradition of 'Ice Road Truckers' this History series premiere introduces us to a new group of determined pioneers who are not prepared to let danger stand between them and success. This is the story of a bunch of regular people that the viewer can relate to, who are determined not to let the recession destroy their families, they are putting it all on the line and doing whatever it takes to put money on the table.
