Each story is based around a master interview with the subject, which is cut to high quality dramatic recreations of the events that they experience. We follow the sinking sense of awfulness from the moment of arrest, their journey through an incomprehensible legal process, the coming to terms with the details of life in a terrifying foreign jail, and the devastating fall out for their family and friends.
