May (Gail Thackray) was too young to remember. Sister April (Annie Wood) could never forgive or forget. Abused and sold to two different childless couples by their cruel stepfather, they were raised by families oceans apart...only to discover each other again 16 years later. April has grown up to become leader of a wild biker gang, while May had a straitlaced upbringing in England. But their blissful reunion is shattered when April decides to take bloody revenge on their brutal stepfather and May is wrongly jailed for his murder. Refusing to betray her new-found sister, May now faces the horror of prison life, condemned to be the 'sugar' in the other violent inmates' porridge with savage beatings, intimidation and lesbian rape.
