Shortly before the journalist and documentary filmmaker Silverio (Daniel Giménez Cacho), who has been living in the USA with his wife and two children for over a decade, is to be the first Mexican to be awarded a renowned media prize, he is staying in his native city of Mexico City for a few days. Here he wants to prepare his acceptance speech and is supposed to give an interview to an old colleague. But most of all, he's starting to remember the time there. Little by little, the present, these memories, his latest film project and his latest dreams become blurred. What should be an easy journey becomes an existential question of what it means to be human today.
