The story of a French president to be and one of his friends, the mayor of a small city in northern France...Between the first two rounds of the French presidential election, Mayor of Dunkirk Philippe Rickwaert (Kad Merad), the friend and personal advisor to the Socialist candidate Francis Laugier (Niels Arestrup), is warned there will be a financial investigation in a social housing office in Dunkirk which he misused to finance the campaign...While the cards look favorable for France in the European Tug of War, the OHL Dunkirk affair resurfaces, forcing Laugier and Rickwaert to navigate troubled waters between diplomacy and foul play... Abandoned by Amélie (Anna Mouglalis), ruined by his lawsuit, Philippe is in big trouble. At the same time, Amélie brings the socialist barons in line with an iron fist. She gives them no choice but to accept her offer: strike an alliance with the centrists.
