- Synopsis:
- Bates Motel is an American series with a rather original take on Robert Bloch’s novel “Psycho”, later adapted by Alfred Hitchcock in what will become the pinnacle of horror film cinema. The series acts as a prequel to the events depicted in both Bloch’s book and Hitchcock’s adaptation, in a town that differs from the initial setting. It follows the complex relationship between Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore) and his mother, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) right after Norma’s husband’s death.
