Synopsis:
The Atlantic Ocean was the scene of many of the most important battles of World War II,and almost every fighting force was involved in these naval conflicts. The central issue in these battles was the Allied supply routes,as convoys travelled the Atlantic with vital supplies for the wartime effort. Lying in their path were the deadly German U-Boats,as well as giant surface ships such as the Bismarck and the Scharnhorst.
