"Before I Sleep" is the story of an old washed up, once famous poet (David Warner), now living alone. His wife is dead, his daughter doesnt like him and he has few friends. With his health failing and little time left, he begrudgingly picks through his past, not sure how to make up for his many mistakes. In the forests, by the river, in town and in the graveyard; through strangers and family and distant memories, he looks for forgiveness, hoping to find a few last moments of peace.
