One thing in its favour is a fast moving story line, so as one of my first rentals from Paradiso, it encouraged me to stay on board.
So plenty of action, but many will also groan at the obvious American psychology that constantly needs to be fed this hypo national hero stuff. Americans need to write something to cheer themselves up after Korea, Vietnam, Iraq... But you don't have to like Americans to enjoy the film.
I completely agree with Rubber Ducky on the review of this film - I was very disappointed having been generally pleased with the first one.
The camerawork was very poor, with panning too fast and the action sequences over edited to the point where you lose track of the scene and do become irritated.
Acting isnt great at all and you find yourself commenting that the Korean ambassador speaking broken english is by far the most convincing.
Avoid at all costs would be my assessment.
Based on the events which nearly lead to war between North Korea and USA in the mid 1990's. It is an interesting story but comes across as cheesy. The music is annoying and the script is very poor at times. I also found the use of quick time action and various other camera effects was over used and rather irritating. Could have been so much better with a good script, a more competent director and more talented actors in the major roles.
