Savo Tiodorovic, who is played in this movie by the incredible Lazar Ristovski, is a forty-year-old Serbian army officer, who lives a settled, single life. The bachelor, a poet for his own soul, who reads classics and dreams of an acting career, has only two loves in the world, an army, and a mother. One day, he receives a telegram from his twin brother that their mother has died, and that he has to come urgently and to bring a white suit. He sadly starts this journey and, unaware of all the things that will befall him on that trip, he embarks on the first train and sets off for the funeral. However, it's not an ordinary train, but one which is drawn by a coal-fired locomotive, and his companions on this long journey will be alcoholics, soldiers, prostitutes, priests, a farmer who goes to enroll his son in college, a machinist who likes fireworks, and many others...With countless other strange adventures, on the train, Savo meets and falls in love with the blonde Karmen (Radmila Shegoleva), a Russian bar entertainer who travels with an impotent and jealous pimp who she wants to escape from...
