- Synopsis:
"Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" tells the story of C.J. Nicholas, an ambitious young journalist. (Jesse Metcalfe) who investigates a corrupt district attorney by setting himself up as a murder suspect, only for the DA (Michael Douglas) to uncover the plot and incriminate the scribe. A news reporter wanting to prove the insufficiency of circumstantial evidence to expose a corrupt DA with an unbelievable track record takes matters into his own hands by setting himself up to be convicted of a murder. Along for the ride is C.J's sidekick (Joel David Moore) who documents their plan and is the only one who holds the key to his innocence. Caught in between C. J's plan and DA Mark Hunters ambition is the young assistant DA, Ella (Amber Tamblyn). As the two develop a romance matters arc complicated as C.J's plot unfolds trapping Ella in the middle. Oblivious to C.J's plan she goes against her boss to uncover evidence to prove his innocence. - Actors:
