Eleven people are about to make history, attempting a journey that has never been done before. None of them have expedition experience but half way around the world they are attempting to cross Nicaragua from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific Ocean. They start their monumental journey on the treacherous 'mosquito coast', escorted by armed soldiers to protect them from bandits and drug traffickers, and attempt to make their way through impenetrable jungles, crocodile infested rivers and climb a live volcano in order to make it to the finish line. Accompanied by ex-SAS expedition leader Ker Hames, they have 28 days to cross 220 miles...and they are all physically disabled! Amidst the stunning locations, the drama of this unique challenge unfolds as these highly motivated individuals attempt to overcome their physical limitations and prove to everyone that they can push themselves to the limits of human endurance and go beyond the boundaries.
