Charlie Parker was a creative talent who would explore, invent and push the boundaries of phrasing, improvisation and tempo further than anyone before and then further still and his influence on jazz today when played by any musician of note can still be heard today. Despite his early death, there is a wealth of recorded material to testify why he is considered the true genius behind modern jazz.
This tribute in recognition of the man and his music was recorded featuring a number of musicians uniquely associated with Parker.
