- Del "Rock" Rockwell (Joel McCrea) is a thick-skinned, cocky cowboy out on a mission to build a homestead with his adopted son, Ti (Race Gentry). The two come across a magnificently wild stallion, and become intent on capturing the horse to sell. The men are joined by neighbour Aldis Spain (Mari Blanchard), who finds herself being mocked by Del but utterly adored by young Ti. It's not long before the three are entangled in a dangerous love triangle, and another rancher, Jennings (MurvynVye) is out for even more trouble...This enchanting Western pushes the limits of its genre; a tale of loyalty, beauty and what it means to run wild. Based on Lee Savage's novel 'The Wild Horse'.
