Had my son yelling 'You cant say that!' - Blazing Saddles review by JD
Been a long time since i watched this last. And boy does it come as a shock in todays world.
Where today is all about virtue signaling, back then they just told it as it was. And boy can it be funny. Right from the outset we get a moment where instead of the ethnic minority crying and telling the white guys they can do better. They just makes fools of them instead - and not in a nasty, bitter way. But clever and you cant help but laugh. Its brilliant stuff.

It's Funny! - Blazing Saddles review by JJ
They wouldn't make it now, but I am very glad they took a different view in 1974. The Blu-ray restoration has scrubbed up very well and there are a few interviews with the director & stars on the disc which are worth seeing. Maybe the original gross-out comedy, it's still a hoot!
