Documentary which looks back on the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939 that led Britain to declare war on Germany. The documentary traces the origins of the invasion to the German defeat in WWI and other economic factors which left the country weakened and unsettled. After Hitler's ascension to power, Germany rapidly strengthened its military capacity and amassed sufficient forces to take Poland with little resistance.
