West Side Story goes East in this heartwarming homage to Bollywood musicals about two star-crossed lovers crossing cultures, families and the law. Nineteen year old Geena (Preeya Kalidas) has everything going for her: a Business Studies course, a weekend job and a good-looking boyfriend. But, she longs for life to be more like the romance and adventure of her favourite Bollywood movies. When Geena has an unexpected encounter with Jay (James McAvoy), a new boy in town, she finds that love can be just as enthralling as she dreamed. When Jay saves her from an accident outside the family factory, her hero fantasies begin to come true. Jay's encounter with Geena opens a door on a different London for him, and a different way of life. They begin a secret affair, but Jay is off limits as far as Geena's family are concerned. Boring - Bollywood Queen review by CP Customer
I didn't enjoy this at all - fast forwarded it in the end! I like James McAvoy but wouldn't recommend this film.
