Complete rubbish - Borderlands review by cr

Spoiler Alert
07/12/2024

This is an awful disaster.

Took 150 million to make and made 33 million and its easy to see why. A massive turkey.

All viewers should be aware of the words "from the popular video game" as this is usually a red flag indicating its rubbish - which it is.

Crash bang wallop without any style excitement or point. All the actors are wasted or awful.

Avoid.

Awful Movie Adaptation of an OK video Game - Borderlands review by GC

Spoiler Alert
16/12/2024

The games that inspired this abomination at least had exciting action, and an inspired graphic art visual style, even if the stories were a little weak.

The only thing this movie shares with those attributes is the weak story.

There are some great actors involved, but they are embarrassingly miss-cast in an action movie. Several of the lead characters are actually old enough to be the parents of the characters in the source material. Just wrong.

Anyone with even a little discerning judgement would have been able to predict that this would be a flop. It is hard to imagine the Hollywood studio idiocy that allowed this movie to end up the way it did. The emperors new clothes spring to mind.
