- Boston Legal is a US drama series about the lawyers at the prestigious yet quirky law office of Crane, Poole and Schmidt. The series follows lawyer Alan Shore (James Spader), a brilliant lawyer who forms a friendship with the firms head partner Denny Crane (William Shatner). Together these two manage each others personal lives while they take strange and often times frivolous cases all the white finding themselves in hot water with managing partner Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen).
