Montgomery, Alabama. On a city bus, Rosa Parks - a respectable, middle-aged black woman - is ordered to give up her seat for a white passenger. Quietly and calmly, Parks refuses. She is immediately arrested and charged under the State's merciless segregation laws. Montgomery's black community, led by a young Martin King Luther, is quick to rally to Park's support. But what begins as a 24 hour boycott of the city's buses turns into a year long struggle; a bitter and relentless fight against prejudice and inequality. Based on the historic events of 1955 - Boycott tells the gripping story of a single act of defiance that was destined to change the lives of millions of African-Americans.
