"The Italian Character" allows its audience to gain an insight into a fascinating world that is usually concealed. It is about finding the essence of the Italian character, in the centre there is the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and its principal conductor, Sir Antonio Pappano. With some of the best soloists and conductors in the world presenting materials collected during their collaboration with the Orchestra di Santa Cecilia such as Yuri Temirkanov, James Conlon, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Harding, Janine Jansen, Lisa Batiashvili, Evgeny Kissin, Denis Matsuev, Stefano Bollani, Lang Lang. The film is selected for the Vancouver International Film Festival (world premiere will be the 04. October 2013) and the 47th International Hofer Filmtage.
