Bread and Roses (2023)

Kabul, Afghanistan in 2022. After the Taliban took control of the city in 2021, life has changed drastically, especially for women there. Filmmaker Sahra Mani follows three of them in real time, who are no longer allowed to work or study after the Islamists took power. They are also accompanied in their fight to regain their autonomy and the danger for the women and the film crew is present everywhere, because this kind of resistance is not welcome on the streets.
