Mike Randall is an artist who illustrates the Brenda Starr comic strip. When Brenda magically comes to life and realises she isn't appreciated, she leaves. Mike then has to draw himself into his strip in an attempt to win her back! In the strip, beauty Brenda Starr (Brooke Shields) is top reporter for the New York Flash. She is brilliant, feisty and an impeccable dresser. When the newspaper is in danger of going bust it's up to Brenda to help save the day. Before long, Brenda finds herself in the perilous jungles of South America in search of the ultimate story. Assisted by the debonair Basil St. John (Timothy Dalton) and up against death-defying situations she has to outsmart rival paper's top reporter Libby Lipscombe to get the story first and save the newspaper. - Actors:
