Brendan Bowyer was Ireland's most popular and most enduring showband star, ever. As Lead Singer with the Royal Showband, Brendan chalked up a never ending stream of No 1 hits, like 'The Hucklebuck', 'Kiss Me Quick', and 'I Ran All the Way Home' and when the band went to perform in Las Vegas, first at the Stardust and then at the Barbary Coast, even Elvis came to see their show. Later he formed The Big 8 Showband and the hits kept coming, both for himself and his featured Kerry born vocalist D.J.Curtin who topped the Irish charts with his powerful rendition of 'Noreen Bawn'. In addition to D.J. Curtin, the Big 8 features Female vocalist Marji Delaney, Frankie Carroll and Jimmy Conway who were all stars in their own right before joining the Big 8 and adding an extra touch of excitement to the show is World Champion Irish Step dancer Liam Harney who will amaze you with his high kicking Reels, Jigs and Hornpipes.
