This series celebrates the workhorse of the modern railway in a series that moves around Britain region-by-region, each video concentrating on the diesel heritage of a different area. Throughout the series, footage highlights the glorious sights and sounds of diesels at work. From the south coast to the Highlands of Scotland, and from Wales to England's east coast, we tour the land, numerous classes working freight and passenger turns, including military and nuclear transports, and fully enjoy the Glory Days of Diesel. This fabulous program, celebrates the might of diesel, an often overlooked part of British rail heritage This program features diesels of classes 08, 25, 33, 37, 42, 46, 50 and 52 seen on the main and preserved lines of the South West of England and on the ex-Southern and ex-Great Western railway metals. These locomotives show that this is not just a holiday are as they are filmed conveying all kinds of produce, from China Clay to steel as well as stopping passenger to express passenger trains on the national network.
