Hop aboard the single-carriage sprinter as we start our bucolic journey at the English border in Srewsbury, a splendid town with its imposing castle and innumerable listed buildings before heading out of town. Our first stop is Church Stretton and then we travel to Knighton which straddles the English-Welsh boarder with the station in England and the town of Wales. We then cross the Knuckles Viaduct with its thirteen great arches before we arrive at the picturesque spa town of Llandrindod Wells. From here we visit Builth Wells another spa town before we take a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Back on the Heart of Wales line we continue south following the meandering River Tywi between Llandeilo and Liandovery arriving at Llaneli where the train reverses to take us across the Gower Peninsular. Before long we are in the bustling town of Swansea with its preserved Swanse Vale Railway, but all too soon it's time to travel along the coast to Carmarthen, home of the Gwili Railway before we climb up the Vale of Lampeter to the popular seaside resort of Tenby with its ancient town walls, and finally to the end of the line at Pembroke
