Out of the cameras of keen amateur railway photographers in the last two decades of steam locomotive operation on British Railways, came some fascinating cine footage recording the end of an era. This programme is aimed at uncovering some of the unique movie shots taken during this period. Part One features steam workings at Clapham Junction, former G.W.R. "Kings" and "Castles" the Great Central Line, Birmingham's two main line stations, Stanier Pacifies on the West Coast Main Line, B.R. "Standards", plus many more. Part Two features former L.N.E.R. passenger and freight engines, Wellingborough on the Midland Main Line, Bullied Pacifies on the Southern region, "Britannias" at Liverpool Street Station, trains at Weedon plus many more.
