John Bridcut directs this documentary exploring the importance of children to the work of the influential British composer Benjamin Britten. Britten's close relationships with juveniles throughout his life have caused some controversy in recent years. Many see the relationships as key to Britten's creativity, while others are distrustful of his motives, though there is no evidence to suggest that the composer's relationship with any of the youngsters in his care was improper. The documentary includes contributions by the late actor David Hemmings, who began his career in one of Britten's operas.
