"Broadway: The American Musical" is a documentary which gives an insight into the epic of popular American culture as it has changed in every era. It animatedly reflects the talent of a myriad of prominent composers from Irving Berlin to George Washington through to the present day of Stephen Sonheim. Composed of six episodes, it features up-close and intimate interviews with a multitude of A-class personalities within the musical industry which offers a unique comparison of the modern progression of American musicals. Some of the personalities featured include actor/director Tim Robbins, actor Julie Andrews, writer/producer Mel Brooks, and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber to name a few.
