A famed major league baseball announcer who suffers an embarrassing and very public meltdown live on the air after discovering his beloved wife's serial infidelity decides to reclaim his career and love life in a small town a decade later...While dealing with his newfound sobriety, Brockmire is introduced as the new announcer of the Oakland Athletics. He has a new co-announcer in former softball star, Gabby Taylor...After Gabby finds out that she is pregnant and then walks in on her wife cheating on her, Brockmire goes out of his way to be a good friend and to comfort her. She and Brockmire share their experiences of being cheated on while calling the game...
