- New York 1918 and the streets of the lower east side reel with corruption and violence. Out of the crime and grime of the city s gangland's, a legend is waiting to emerge. Kid McCoy (Timothy Brantley) is a young fighter raised on the street. For him there are no rules - in or out of the ring. Robert Vaughn plays influential fight manager Max Owen who recognises in McCoy the hungry potential of a champion. With Owen s expertise and McCoy s raw talent, the two start on the road to fame, fortune and the glory of the world championship crown.
