In the 1960s Kirke University represented concrete perfection - an academic field of dreams; today it can only be described as a landfill of educational mediocrity. This is a dagger through the heart of Jonty de Wolfe, Kirke's idiosyncratic and strangely unsettling Vice Chancellor; the university is the child he never had. Now, as a scary cloud of financial doom hovers overhead, Jonty attempts to pimp up Kirke in any way he can - but his lofty plans soar as gracefully as a porky tortoise. It doesn't help that his key staff are getting sidetracked by the more urgent dilemma of who to sleep with next. Philandering English Professor Matt Beer is forced to up his game in all departments, as he struggles to make any impression on shy Maths Lecturer Imogen Moffat. While Matt's younger, bouncier, postgrad assistant Flatpack makes more headway with the lovely maths boffin, an unlikely arrangement between Jason, the conscientious Accountant, and Nicole, the unscrupulous Accommodations Officer, adds more sexual confusion to the mix...
