Capital in the Twenty-First Century (2019)

Justin Pemberton directs this documentary based on the bestselling book by French economist Thomas Piketty. The film examines the role of money and power throughout history and how this has resulted in widespread poverty and extreme inequality in the 21st century, with the transformation of the economy creating a small class of highly wealthy and powerful elites who use the system to stay in power and shape the way populations think.
