Carmen meanwhile has taken up with the bullfighter Escamillo. The performers are Agnes Baltsa, Jose Carreras, Leona Mitchell, Samuel Ramey, and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Chorus and Ballet. James Levine conducts.
