Synopsis:: Benwa and his mother, Amma, live in destitution in the slums of Bombay. Amma longs to be in her lover's arms in a home of her own, blessed with an abundance of food and drink, while Benwa envisions himself like the local gangster, a man who gets whatever he desires through either charisma or force. But after a series of violent episodes and misfortunes, Benwa and Amma must forget their dreams and face reality.
