Synopsis:
To dispel doubts about her husband's fidelity a woman stages her own kidnapping. To ensure the kidnapping's plausibility, she forces the hired henchman to tie her up. When the kidnapping evolves into a perverse, erotic role-playing game between the consensual abductor and abductee, the two discover a mutual interest in masochism and bondage. Things are not as simple as they seem. Has the extorted husband been unfaithful? Is the wife who she claims to be? Is the henchman a pawn, manipulated by all to cover up a far more heinous crime?

Enjoyable, complex and often confusing. - Chaos review by CP Customer

Chaos is an exciting puzzle of a film, what starts out as a simple kidnap story soon becomes an extremely complex mystery thriller retold through an edited sequence of events. As the storyline twists and turns you're given both answers and more questions until the film reaches its conclusion. My only criticisms of the film are, that the story is presented in such a complex manner that it's near on impossible to follow if you're not giving the film your full attention, and after such an intense story the ending was a bit of a let down. Overall, if you enjoy well-crafted, sophisticated foreign films then 'Chaos' is well worth a look.
