The simple lives of toyshop owner Harry Sankey (David Thewlis) and his son Sam (Sean Ward) are thrown upside down by the tragic death of their beloved wife and idolized mother, Nancy (Lisa Gorman). Believing it to be his wife's last wish, Sankey takes part in the popular but bizarre TV show "Cheeky", where he accidentally meets another Nancy, his charming fellow contestant, who attempts to draw him out of his misery. A universal story of a family's survival, told with compassion, humour and a healthy sense of the absurd the film explores the difficult father/son dynamic and how through love and forgiveness a new stronger relationship can be built.
