Children of the Snow Land (2018)

Zara Balfour and Marcus Stephenson co-direct this documentary following the journeys of several Nepalese teenagers as they travel from their school in Kathmandu to their home villages in the High Himalayas. Sent to Kathmandu to be educated and for the chance at a better life, children as young as four part from their families, only to be reunited after some several years or never at all. The film features footage from a group of students who begin their long and dangerous trek home to find their families.
