Based on actual events, this film tells the story of renowned Choi Lee Fut kung fu master Chang Hung Sing. After a deadly battle with a Ching warlord, two Ming loyalists go into hiding to prevent a secret name list of patriots falling into Ching hands, which would result in their martial arts factions being wiped out. When a young and ambitious fighter, Chang Hung Sing, arrives at the school of one of the loyalists, Master Chan, this expert in the Choi Lee Fut style decides to break the rules of the village to teach him the basics of the style. Hung Sing soon becomes an expert but is still not good enough to defeat the aching warlord and his four lackeys, so Hung Sing is sent to a monastery to learn the Buddhist Fist and other more refined kung fu styles by an old monk. After rigorous training, Hung Sing teams up with another loyalist fighter, the beautiful Miss Yang, to take on the Ching warlord and his men and deliver the name list safely to Ming headquarters.
