Country and Western legends Billy Ray Cyrus and Kenny Rogers lend their talents to this wonderfully warm-hearted Christmas tale, in which two boys from different sides of the racial divide learn the importance of hope - and the true meaning of family. Cyrus plays struggling widowed farmer Daniel Burton, whose young son DJ hates Rodney, a black classmate. But Daniel and Rodney's grandmother forge a clever plan - and a miracle occurs. As the boys are made to understand each other and overcome their animosity, they forge a surprising interracial friendship. This is no easy thing in 1960s Texas at the height of the Civil Rights Movement, but an unforgettable Christmas will teach the boys a final lesson about hope and happiness - a lesson that they'll never forget.
