Operation Celestial Balance
When the US embassy in Nairobi, Kenya is attacked with a massive suicide bomb in 1998, it's the first of its kind in Africa. 212 people are killed and over 4000 injured. Kenyan police arrest one of the suicide bombers, who had panicked and fled at the last minute. He reveals the name of his Al Qaeda handler as Fazul Mohammed and a protege called Ali Saleh Nabhan. The CIA's John Bennett traces the killers to Mogadishu, Somalia, infiltrates the city, pays for information and uses the capital's notorious warlords as bounty hunters. When the CIA locates the terrorists' hideout, they track using drone technology and call on SEAL Team 6 to kill Nabhan.Killing the Bombers
When the USS Cole was attacked with a suicide bomb by Al Qaeda terrorists in the port of Aden, Yemen, in 2000, the first terrorist attack on the US Navy in its history. 17 sailors died in the explosion and over 40 were injured. Special Agent Bob McFadden and FBI agent Ali Soufan join with the CIA to spearhead the investigation which, at first, encountered huge difficulties on account of the intransigence of the Yemen authorities. And then, after 9/11, the situation changed dramatically; after an extensive search, the cell leader, Abu Ali Al Harethi was identified by his use of a satellite phone. Predator drones (UAVs) were mobilised and he was killed with a Hellfire Missile.- Actors:
