City General: The Story of a Hospital (2006)

This film has three main sections: Firstly; we are taken on a 'guided tour' of the hospital site - charting its growth in buildings and services from its days as the Stoke-on-Trent Workhouse to the busy highly equipped hospital it is today. Then we hear some comments from many hospital staff - past and present - of how things have changed from their points of view over the past 50 years, together with some personal stories and anecdotes. Finally, we look at some other aspects of present-day working like in "The City". It's a hospital rich in character and history.
