There are few cars that attract such iconic status as the Citroen 2 CV. First produced in 1949 the car enjoyed worldwide production for over 50 years. It was technologically advanced and innovative, but with extremely utilitarian and deceptively simple Bauhaus inspired bodywork, that belied the sheer quality of its underlying engineering. It was designed to move the French peasantry on from horses and carts. Over 1 million 2 CV's. were manufactured during the life of this remarkable vehicle and this programme charts the history of one of the 20th century's most recognizable modes of transport.
